Child abuse is a crime that not only violates children’s rights but also tears the fabric of South African society apart. It remains a core issue in media coverage. Sadly coverage tends to the sensational and gratuitous, and there is insufficient focus on protection and prevention.
Facebook: Educate parents on how to build united units and well-rounded children. Being mindful of the daily economical challenges and frustrations some parents face. Educate the parents that even though you may not afford a new school shirt for your child, the warm hug and reassurance you give your child in the morning/evening will be sufficient enough to validate your child. Reach out to churches, etc and make communities aware of how they can assist when they see that a child is being abused...with toll free numbers etc.
